To hell with originality, they say.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/fr\/hotel-windsor-nice1.html?aid=1215917&amp;no_rooms=1&amp;group_adults=2&amp;room1=A%2CA\">Not WindsoR Hotel Nice.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In this series, C\u00e9dric Lizotte visits some of Europe\u2019s best restaurants. He shares his inside knowledge about the best places to sample the delights of some of the best chefs on the planet. Follow his gastronomical journey with the hashtag #CedricInEurope.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Nice, close to the Promenade des Anglais, this comfortable hotel offers everything one is entitled to expect at the four-star level: comfortable beds, free internet throughout the hotel, gym, bar, outdoor pool, a large garden ideal for tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although all these facilities, standard for four-star hotels such as Windsor, are of impeccable quality &#8211; &nbsp;and the location of this hotel is outstanding &#8211; &nbsp;it&#8217;s not that which makes it so remarkable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather, it is the total dedication of the hotel staff to contemporary art that makes WindsoR such an unusual place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each room of the hotel is decorated and furnished by a different artist, sometimes Gottfried Honegger, sometimes Fran\u00e7ois Morellet. Even the great Claudio Parmeggiani worked on the rooms at&nbsp;WindsoR!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even the elevator is surprising; in sound and pictures, speeding from the ground floor to an upper floor evokes a space shuttle launch. This is a work by the artist Ultra Violet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, the lobby and the bar is transformed into a contemporary art museum, as temporary exhibitions come and go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The service is courteous, the gym is modern and the pool is wonderful, and works as a cool oasis in hot weather.
