A highball glass - for the classic version
A large wine glass - for the Garibaldi spritz
A nice 250 ml bottle - for the Garibaldi spritz
A bowl - for the classic version
A bar spoon
Ingredients

vodka - optional

Campari - or Aperol

orange juice

ml
sparkling water - or 45 ml dry sparkling wine + 45 ml sparkling water
A slice of orange
Instructions
Mise en place
Place all ingredients and equipment on your work surface.
Cut out the orange slice.
Method - classic presentation
Pour vodka and Campari into the glass.
Place the tip of your bar spoon into the liquid, with the back of the spoon facing you.
Pour the orange juice over the back of the spoon as slowly as possible. The orange juice should float on top of the Campari.

Garnish the glass with a slice of orange.
Serve with a small bottle of sparkling water, and a bowl full of ice cubes with a small ice tong.
Method - Garibaldi Spritz
Place all ingredients in the glass, including the sparkling wine.
Using the bar spoon, gently stir.
Carefully add ice cubes to the glass until it is full.
Presentation - Garibaldi Spritz
Garnish with a slice of orange.
Notes
This is perhaps the most enjoyable cocktail in the summer heat!
