- 60 ml Bourbon
- 30 ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 30 ml Simple syrup to taste
- 30 ml Red wine (Preferably fruity and light)
- 1 Lemon peel (Approx. 1cm x 4cm)
In a shaker filled with ice, put the bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup
Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds
In an Old Fashioned glass, put a large ice cube (or omit the ice cube if you don't have a large one)
Pour the mixture through a fine sieve and into the glass
Then, take a spoon, turn it upside down, dip the tip of the spoon into the cocktail and gently drip the red wine over the back of the spoon
The red wine should remain suspended above the bourbon
Garnish with lemon zest and serve.
