Blintz are made of a batter made of eggs, flour and sugar, in which any ingredient can be stuffed, like meat, fish, liver, vegetables or fruits. The dumpling is then sauteed until golden brown. Anthony Bourdain ordered blintz with yoghurt and apricot with condensed milk.

WHAT IS IT?

Anthony Bourdain visited Restoran Russkiy Kitch (formerly known as Russky restaurant) located in St. Petersburg to sample old-school food.

First: Homemade vodka with horseradish and cucumber juice.
Second: Cabbage, mint, turnips and olive oil, marinated beans and parsley, wild mushrooms and potatoes, pickeld beets, herring salad and pure pork fat.
Third: Boiled sterling fish doused with lemon juice and spices.
Lastly, caviar with small blini or pancakes and onion, egg white and egg yolk.
