WHAT IS IT?
Pinchos literally means “Spikes” as the dish is served with a toothpick holding the ingredients together. One of the pinchos featured on the show is a soft omelet which includes potatoes and topped with caramelized sugar. This mixture is put on top of a piece of bread and held together using a toothpick. Another is called Pincho Bacalao: battered and fried codfish placed on top of Pan Tomaquet with Alioli sauce.

WHAT IS IT?
A thin cut of cured Iberian pig ham. It is often served with Pan Tomaquet and olive oil.

WHAT IS IT?
A custard made of corn flour, sugar and egg with a mixture of fresh milk, cinnamon and lemon peel as the base poured on clay dishes. Finally, caramelized sugar as a topping.

DISH – Montaditos – Andrew Zimmern Bizarre Foods Barcelona
WHAT IS IT?
Langostino con piquillo, a variety of Montaditos is made of toasted bread topped with red pepper, prawn, yogurt, honey and soy and finally caviar. Choices of the ingredient mix depend upon the mood of the customer.
